This is a highly detailed and accurate reproduction of the 1920's Kenton Hardware Company's Christmas catalog, No. 16, an interesting snapshot of early 20th century cast iron toys. The 112 pages include an index of all items, and descriptions of each item include dimensions, any optional sizes, and finishes.
For those interested in tracing the years in which various pieces were produced, this catalog has a number of items stamped "Cancelled" and "Discontinued". We show a few of these, but there are many. Based on the automobile models shown, we think this was originally issued in the mid-1920's. But as some of the automobiles are marked cancelled it may be that our original catalog was actually reissued sometime later than the mid-1920's.
Kenton was well known for the high quality and realism of their cast iron toys, This catalog illustrates hundreds of them with beautiful engravings and drawings. Also included are photos including one of children under a Christmas tree, playing with various Kenton toys, We have taken extra care with this photo, sharpening it and increasing it to more than triple its original size.

We have digitally reproduced and restored our original pages at an extremely high resolution. The pages are printed on a heavy cream low-gloss paper reminiscent of the original. This is not a photocopy - our methods allow us to retain an unusual image clarity and depth of detail. Its true spiral binding, unlike a comb binding, allows this book to remain unharmed when left open at the desired place. Heavy clear vinyl covers protect the front and back. Our fine reproductions are already in some museum research libraries.
This reproduction catalog is meant to be a permanent reference. See our eBay Store for other fine reproductions of early trade catalogs.
