Lotus Glass Catalog

364 Pieces Shown or Described

This is a beautifully restored early catalog of the well-known glassware decorating firm. We have digitally reproduced the original catalog at an extremely high resolution, and have restored the images of the now chipped, torn, and mildewed pages of the original. We've also added a 5-page index.

There are 23 pages with 364 rarely published items in a variety of shapes and methods of decoration. There are two styles of page numbering, probably because of revisions over time. Page thirteen is missing and may have been discarded because its items were discontinued. The catalog was tightly (and rustily) bound when we obtained it, with the exception of page ten. That page was inserted separately, and may have been added as an update.

Lotus applied their decorations to blanks manufactured by many different companies, including Duncan and Miller, New Martinsville, Heisey, Cambridge, Weston, Paden City, and U.S. Glass. This catalog is a fine example of the artistry for which the Lotus Glass Company is so well known.

  • #79: Lead Line.
  • #1045 “Revere”: Deep Plate Etching.

  • #75 “Ivy”: Non-tarnish sterling silver deposit.

The 5-page index includes all 364 items mentioned in the catalog. With the exception of different sizes of an item, mostly plates, all are actually pictured in the catalog.

A charming and informative piece of Lotus Glass history, and a wonderful and unusual gift for yourself or someone special.

This catalog has been produced with careful attention to the original. The reproduction is produced on special heavy coated soft gloss paper. A stylish coil (not comb) binding allows the booklet to remain unharmed when left open at the desired place. Clear vinyl covers protect the front and back. In addition to the original pages, we have added an informative index of style names and numbers as well as sizes.
