1915 Catalog
Enormous Range of Tile Shapes Plain and Molded Tiles
This is a beautifully restored reproduction of the 1915 Mosaic Tile Company catalog. The catalog includes 62 plates, including some highly decorative tiles, and an astonishing variety of smooth-surface tile shapes. Several plates show tile for what must have been among the first built-in tub and showers. There are also two plates showing construction details for partitions and what may be a tank or swimming pool edge detail. A 2-page index lists sizes for all tiles, including some tiles not shown in the plates. Most plates include a typical profile.
The art tile styles range from Art Nouveau to Arts & Crafts to early Art Deco. Some of the tiles in this catalog also appear in the c.1905 Mosaic Tile Co. catalog (to be released shortly), and apparently remained popular enough to be included in this 1915 catalog.

We have digitally reproduced and restored our original catalog at an extremely high resolution, and printed the pages on a heavy gloss stock. This is not a photocopy - our methods allow us to retain an unusual image clarity and depth of detail. Colors, if any, are daylight-corrected. Some of our fine reproduction catalogs are already in museum research collections.
This reproduction catalog is meant to be a permanent reference. Its true spiral binding, unlike a comb binding, allows this book to remain unharmed when left open at the desired place. The front and back covers are printed on heavy marbled cover stock, protected by sturdy clear vinyl outer covers. A wonderful and unusual gift for yourself or someone special.
