This is a fine reproduction of two catalogs of railroad station furniture - the 1907 American Seating Company catalog and a 1917 NY Central Railroad illustrated furniture, fixture, and equipment reference used for inventories. In addition to pictures, the NY Central reference includes a 3-column page-and-a-third of items that could be included in the inventory, and a 2-column page of optional extra descriptions for these items, such as "Quartered Oak" and "Perforated Leather Seat".

Pieces include passenger benches and rockers for stations, station master and other sorts of desks, electric desk lamps, wall clocks, and more. Our double catalog pictures and identifies about 150 different items. The American Seating catalog also includes pictures of various station waiting rooms with exteriors of the stations as well.

We have digitally reproduced and restored our original catalog at an extremely high resolution, and printed the pages on a heavy paper stock. This is not a photocopy - our photo-editing software and digital techniques allow us to retain an unusual image clarity and depth of detail, limited sometimes only by the production values of the original. Some of our fine reproduction catalogs are already in museum research collections.

This reproduction catalog is meant to be a permanent reference. Its plastic spiral binding, unlike a cheaper comb binding, allows this book to remain unharmed when left open at the desired place. The front and back covers are printed on heavy marbled cover stock and protected by sturdy clear vinyl outer covers.
