Sellers Cabinet Catalog
An interesting and hard to find 36-page 1917 catalog from G.I. Sellers and Sons of Elwood, Indiana. Sellers cabinets were one of the most highly-regarded "Hoosier"-type kitchen cabinets. These "all-in-one" cabinets became popular in this country in the 1900's, becoming standard kitchen furniture through the 1930's and even later.
As was common at the time, this catalog was issued in the form of a recipe booklet with menus. The cabinets are "incidentally" illustrated throughout. Each recipe contains many, many references to the various Sellers features that make cooking such a breeze. A full page is devoted to the "Automatically Lowering" flour bin, and elsewhere in these pages the other cabinet features are described in fulsome detail. The color cover is a masterpiece of period commercial illustration.

We have digitally reproduced the original catalog at an extremely high resolution, and printed the pages on a heavy soft-gloss stock. This is not a photocopy - our methods allow us to retain an unusual image clarity and depth of detail. Colors have been carefully calibrated so that the tints of images in our catalog match those in the original. Some of our fine reproduction catalogs are already in museum research collections.
This reproduction catalog is intended as a permanent reference work. It is printed on the same heavy soft-gloss paper as the original. The true spiral binding, unlike a comb binding, allows this book to remain unharmed when left open at the desired place. Heavyweight clear vinyl covers protect the front and back. A charming and informative vintage catalog, and a wonderful and unusual gift for yourself or someone special.
