This is a fine reproduction of the 1917 Sterling Homes kit house catalog. A kit house "package" was comprised of all materials needed to construct the house, precut with crucial components keyed to assembly drawings and instructions, and conventional construction documents (specifications plus drawings of floor plans and construction details). This catalog illustrates 64 houses with perspective views and plan drawings. Additionally, there are garages, summer cottages, and a few smaller, simpler houses. Interior views are included for many models, and there is a fully illustrated section showing some lock sets plus a selection of millwork such as doors, windows, built-in cupboards, and wood trim. The catalog pages are in black and white, as is our original. The front and back covers, however, are in color. Images shown on this web page have been greatly reduced in size and resolution for computer viewing.
